Where to Ask for a Record

  • For a booking or photo, use the county search and records guide, then ask HCSO Records for an existing releasable record.
  • For a warrant question, contact the Henderson County Clerk at 828-694-4100 or magistrates at 828-694-4250, and consult an attorney about your own status.
  • For a just-reported event, check the HCSO Daily Report and Current Confinements. The report warns that publication may take up to 72 hours.
  • For a Hendersonville incident report, contact HPD Records at 828-697-3036 or policerecords@hvlnc.gov.
  • For Fletcher police material, call 828-687-7922 and ask which office holds the incident or booking record.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction search rather than the county jail roster.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP or ICE locator. Those are separate custody systems.
